That’s kind of an oldie! I try my best to review fresh-off-the-press released songs, with the exception of something that’s maybe a few months old. Maybe. I can tell you my thoughts on it though. It’s definitely interesting, I’ve tried to think of something to compare it to but I can’t and that’s always a good sign. Overall I think the track is okay — I give him props for being original, however I can’t get too into it. I feel like it’s the combination… he has this raspy, soulful voice singing over an alternative/dubstep blend. It doesn’t work for me. Looks like it’s popular though! If anyone is interested, check out “Too Close” by Alex Clare here.
Feel free to request anything that’s more recent and I’ll be glad to give it a go.

Love the appreciation my post is getting!
WONDERWALL [OASIS COVER] // ONE DIRECTION // ♡ ♡ ♡
I have to give it to One Direction for having the guts to cover such a loved song. I thought their version was cute. Nothing special, just a regular jam session after filming “What Makes You Beautiful”, I’m sure they didn’t intend to get a lot of attention on it. I feel like it would’ve been better if one of them had a solo part (ahem, Harry) but that’s alright. At least Niall Horan gets a good amount of play time, that’s usually a rare sighting. Enjoy, Directioners!
ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN // ELLIE GOULDING // ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ½
This is the third time in a row I’m reviewing something related to pop goddess Ellie Goulding, but it’s impossible for me to not share what she’s been doing. Goulding created a lyric video from fan submitted Instagram photos (aw!) for her new single “Anything Could Happen.” This single is an upbeat Ellie-classic: shimmery and flawless. She even throws in a bluesy, soulful side of herself towards the end of the track that we’ve never really seen before. It gave me goosebumps all over the place. As always, she never disappoints. Her forthcoming album Halycon is due for release on October 9th — can’t wait!
